Our First Dedicated Aircraft

The first helicopter that the RASAR program is working to acquire is the Robinson R-44 Raven II, single engine, piston helicopter.  Reliable and cost-effective, the R-44 has a proven track record as a successful search aircraft. The Raven II seats four and cruises at a speed equal to that of most light turbine helicopters. Not only does it offer lower operational and maintenance costs, but its unparalleled performance makes it the right choice for RASAR.
